i have always had a curiosity about this dude and it was pretty good, some of tge verbaige had me cringing but I still thoroughly enjoyed it nonetheless and would probably most likely own a physical copy.
- The Selection-keira cass–⭐️⭐️⭐️✨
this was surprisingly really good! I defs think I’ll purchase these for my collection. this was quick and easy, defs sad that I missed all the hype surrounding them when they were being released and everything. so here’s to my future mini enjoying these cheesy ass books.
- Reboot –amy tintera–⭐️⭐️⭐️
I started this on a whim after finishing the ruined series which I slept on but I’ll talk about it when I get there. Alas this story alsos took me by surprise and I was like ‘how?’ this is such a unique story which has it’s tropes and a touch predictable in the beginning, but the pace was fast and kept me hooked enough to continue with the next book.
- Ruined –amy tintera–⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I’ve owned this for a good while and finally picked it up as I was deep cleaning and next thing I know as this was on a week to weekend basis I was reading the entire series via audiobook as I only own the first book, but will be swiftly collecting the rest. It WAS SO GOOD oh my gosh I adored the whole premise and rise of all the characters!
- Avenged –Amy Tintera–⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I won’t say to much as this is book 2, but oh my gosh did it ever have me clutching at my chest in mild bursts of agony, this is also where the gorey bits starts.
- Allied –Amy Tintera–⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
honestly 4 stars across the board with this series and it was so dang GOOD !! what an ending!!
- The elite -Keira Cass–⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
gosh this series just keeps getting better and better! this one had very high stakes feelings and the dystopian part of it is showing and I just adored this one, continuing to entice itself onto my shelves. can’t wait to finish the all of them so I can get the full experence.
- Rebel –Amy Tintera–⭐️⭐️⭐️✨
this is the finale to Reboot so I won’t talk to much but know that is again was fast paced, high stakes and kept me thristy for the end!
- the very hungry caterpillar –eric clarle–⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ (CL)
of course a childhood classic, it was beautiful and silly! always a joy in tha ti am just the caterpillar honestly.
- dewdrop –katie oneill–⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨

I absolutely ADORED this! I just need youto read it because it was everything I adored and more but holy hec this was so good another toadd to my personal library when the time comes!
- the little bus –carol roth–⭐️⭐️⭐️ (CL)
this book was good but a tad annoying but I enjoyed it somehow.
- walter the farting dog –william kotzwinkledearly–⭐️⭐️⭐️ (CL)
this was okay until the farting noises started to annoy me, but the artwork was so raggedy but I just didn’t vibe as well and i enjoy fart jokes, but this was a whole other level.
- cinderella –random youtube video book–⭐️⭐️⭐️(CL)
gosh this was inerestingly animated butI liked it enough I guess, it was just cinderella story.
- nightlights –Lorena Alvarez Gomez–⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
this is the first book in his sort of companiion books. and they are just so visually stunning and I am so obsessed oh my good golly gosh! another to add to my perosnal library. I would say this does get a bit busy but is still visually stunning.
- the hidden witch-molly ostertag–⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
enjoyed this well enough I feel like these are leading up to some other mega boss battle so I’m pretty invested now, once i read the third book in march!
I liked this enough but i hated what happened to a certian character I wanted to know more from.
Some of these books I could not catologue as they where through my children’s literature class(CL)! those from my class will be labelled as such.
- We have always been here: a queer muslim memoir-samira habib -⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
i’ve been meaning to read this one for awhile and really made me think about my gender and sexual identiy. some this one has helped in that quest to read more queer memoirs and learn more about myself especially as a queer BIPOC!
- devolition: a first hand account of the rainer sasquath massacre– max brooks- ⭐️⭐️⭐️
ihad been wanting to read another one of his books for awhile now, and i just gie this a shot and i really enoyed it. it wasn’t anything too special but i did enjoy my time with the narrator beinf slight unreliable and that is starting to feel like how i like my stories!
- all are welcome – alexandra penfold -⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (CL)
super cute picture book, it was joy, this class is a delight and adding to my future beans collection.
- infernal devices (the hungry city chronicles) – phillip reeve-⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
this series is and has been an absolute delight to have read! it was random too, i stumbled across the trailer and then had the need to pick it. up from the library. as iw aitied for my hold because covid! i eneded up listening to the first two books and now here we are!

- the last namsara-Kristen Ciccarelli- ⭐️⭐️⭐️
i’ve owned this book for a fair bit of time and just never thought to sit down and read it. i borrowed it on audiobook and it was okay? i might continue but it wasn’t anything to shake a stick at for me anyway. all my favourite people enjoyed it.
- insidans on vacation⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨
this wasn’t as hilarious as i had hoped, maybe because i have dark humour but it was amusing nonetheless. it was nice to finally read something about non white people going on vacations, and spewing those hard facts. it was nice and a slight slap in the face which is great and i enjoyed the story and the characters.
- allegedly-tiffany d. jackson-⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨
i read grown recently by tiffany d. jackson and instantly decided to go through her backlist. i think this is debut it very powerful! at first i foudn the character to be hard to like but as the story went on i felt for her, i ached for her, i wished i could slap a good handful of adults in this book because they just are all full of shit! it was a wild ride from start to finish and i was very tense the entire time listening to it but goodness.
- this will only hurt a little-busy phillips-⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨
this memoir was so good!! i have always been a huge fan of busy! I’ve always nejoyed whatever she’s in and have recently and possibly decided i might watch cougartown specificlly for her so we’ll see how that goes. there were a few parts of the book she shares some very personal aspects of her life and i was CRYING, actual tears during my walk and was very grateful that it was at night.
- the blind date-delaney diamond-⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
audio|library|smutty|Black female MC
this was a short novella to get me through an instense deep clean of the apartment! it was very cute second chance romance and the smut was very good. whilst the plot wasn’t special but the interaction between the two love interests was just *chefs kiss*
- the sinner-tiffany reiz-⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨
this is book #5 in a series and my library labelled it wrong so i have to start fromt he very beginning. HOWEVER despite that, this book didn’t really make me feel confused just yearing for more, it stripped me raw, and left me in dire need for more. so now im going backwards and reading from the beginning.
- wings of ebony– j. elle- (ARC)-⭐️⭐️⭐️
physical|ARC|simon and Schuster|Black MC
this was an interesting urban fantasy and it came out Jan 23! i had a fun time, though much to my distaste the book didn’t really relate to it’s title, but maybe as the series progresses because it was setting itself to do just that, and im so curious that will continue on with whatever comes next! it also made me really want green sneakers again because i aways forget that they are on my list.
- stone soup-jon j. muth⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️(CL)
this book was really cute, its about some monks who are travelling and bring a village together in a unique way! such a simple thing, soup that bring people together, this book basicall described what i feel for food. it;s social and bring people of all kinds together to just enjoy a moment of goodness over delicious foods!
- patty and the pandemic-nicole crimi⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (CL)
it’s hard to believe there are ACTUAL books being ppublished in the time of covid, about covid. but here we are teaching the kids of the present and future children about this pandemic. this is just really informatime, really cute illustrations as well!
- the midnight library-matt haig-⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
this book took me a bit to get into but when i did it left me questioning so many things, made me use my entire brain, have a existential crisis all whilst feeling incredibly warm about this book. GODS it made my heart ache and i just had to lay down for a good while afterwards.
- i’m thinking of ending things-ian reid-⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨
i just threw this book on during another power clean and WTF?!?! i have no fucking idea about what i just read and i felt slapped, harassed and questioned if this book was real? like it was a TRIP. i might have to read it aagian because the narrator was ridiculously unreliable and a i’m learning is a thing im very into.
- tim the fish⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨
this was throught my class and it was so cute, crayon still about tim the fish and i honestly cannot remember the plotline but like msot of the children’s books they as short, sweet, and usually pretty simple. which i like!
thanks for reading and i hope you had a good start to your new year, or at least a chill january.
since i am in school, and my program demands a lot of writing i thought as a warm up i would come back here and try to warm up and improve myself. it is also a way to slowly wean myself from typing in the manner that you are reading right now, because my Goodreads reviews i would like to be a little more concise and have a touch more detailed so i can be prepared when im out in the real world. however my texting will never change haha.
i would like to talk about more than books, but that’s mostly where my content will focus on. i would like mostly to talki about, books, vidya gaems, tech, life etc. but we’ll see haha.
